The floors and walls in Rose Cottage, a Gothic Victorian in Eureka Springs, Arkansas took my breath away! From a comment responding to the article, I learned one of the original owners was an interior decorator who spent a ton of time on the floors and walls, achieving this look by adding and taking away multiple layers of color. Since then, Cathy Collins and her husband Jeff bought and renovated the home, keeping all the original charm as well as many of the furnishings...including the beautiful Jenny Lind-style bed, Hoosier cabinet, and chippy turquoise dining table!
